You may remember these two from their sexy beach engagement session posted here. Danielle and Josh had a beautiful wedding at the Comfort Inn Oceanfront in Jacksonville beach, and it was our pleasure to be their photographers. Their orange hued details fit perfectly against the relaxed beach wedding for close family and friends.  After that it was off to a Caribbean cruise before returning to their home in Italy. Thanks guys for allowing us to be a part of your unforgettable day!

Sharon and Sarmad live in New York City, so to help with the wedding planning, Sharon enlisted the help of her family who live here in Jacksonville. We had a consultation with her parents and Sister, and the next day I got a call from Sharon saying her family loved us so much she decided to book us right away!  Since then it has been nothing but smooth sailing with these two. We finally got to meet them in person this past Saturday when we shot their engagement session.  I’m so glad they were able to make time for it while they were in town visiting family for Christmas. We decided to make the trip worth their while and we had a blast shooting them down in St. Augustine on St. George Street, the Lightner Museum/City Hall, and at the Casa Monica Hotel pool. We can’t wait to get to see them again when we shoot their wedding this spring at St. Paul’s Catholic Church and Palm Valley Gardens. Thanks for being so easy going on our photo adventure Sharon and Sarmad!

The Morjon family recently moved to Jacksonville from the windy city and wanted some urban shots that still reflected their new town. What Floridian doesn’t want to show off the warm climate on their family Christmas card? I know I sure did.  We had fun shooting them downtown near the Florida theater as well as at the Landing area. There are so many great places to shoot downtown and in the historic areas for those “urban” type photos so for those of you that think you are limited to the beach think again! Or you can always get the best of both worlds and do a double session! These type of locations also make for great bride and groom, trash the dress/bridals,  or wedding party shots. Honour and Kyle couldn’t have had a more beautiful day for their wedding at the Queen’s Harbor Yacht Club. It was evident these two were crazy about each other when we heard their story. They met on a cruise ship while still in high school and succeeded at a six year long-distance relationship through college and Kyle’s Navy career, ultimately coming together finally here in Jacksonville. It truly was an honor (haha, had to do it) being a part of their day.

While we were visiting family back in Missouri last week we had the opportunity to do a portrait session with little Emily Ann. We love to shoot kids just being kids. We like to see their personalities come out and then capture images that reflect  them. Emily has loads of energy and plenty of personality. She was a total ham which we love! I also got to do all of the styling for this one and I had a lot of fun choosing her clothes, accessories, hair styles, and the locations. She was a great sport and did an awesome  job so thanks Emily!

We were out of town visiting family when I got an email from the coordinator at Palm Valley Gardens in Ponte Vedra.  She shared the exciting news that they were being featured in the business section of the Times Union.  Imagine my surprise when I discovered that they wanted to use one of our photos from Madalyn and Dustin’s wedding in the story!  The story and photo appeared on the front page of the business section on July 31st. We are honored Palm Valley chose one of our photos to showcase their beautiful venue. What is a one year old to do without any photos to show herself off? She (with the help of Mom and Dad) calls in the pros. We had a great time shooting baby Alex and her parents (our good friends Pam and Jesse) at their home this past weekend. With bubbles, balls, and corn box we kept her busy! We got a couple shots of their dog Reggie too. Check them out!

We are excited to be shooting Madalyn and Dustin’s upcoming wedding in Ponte Vedra. Madalyn is a photography lover herself and we were able to put our heads together and come up with some fun ideas for their engagement shoot. We both love classic, girly, and retro (think Anthropologie and J.Crew) so we thought it would be fun to do a modern shoot with a 1950s twist and a beachy feel. The weather didn’t cooperate for the beach part of the shoot so we were only able to steal a few photos and then escape before the wind swept us away. We then returned to the beach cottage owned by Madalyn’s Mother for the remainder of the shoot. It was great to get to know these two even more in preparation for their big day. With Madalyn’s great taste and sense of style I’m sure it will be amazing.

This image has an ethereal quality to it which I adore.

I think the angle of this shot showcases the the details of the beach house and frames the couple nicely. Of course I might be just a little bit biased towards my own art ;o)
