You may remember Sharon and Sarmad from their fun St. Augustine Engagement session here. We had a great time being a part of their day. There were so many fun moments from the look on Sharon’s face when she first saw herself in her gown and veil, to a teary-eyed ceremony, hangin’ out on the trolley, and funny toasts it was a day I’m sure they will never forget! The pair wed at St. Paul’s Catholic church in south Jacksonville Beach and had a fun and intimate reception at Palm Valley gardens. We made a pit stop at the beach too for some Bride and Groom portraits. I hope you enjoy these images as much as we enjoyed capturing them!

Honour and Kyle couldn’t have had a more beautiful day for their wedding at the Queen’s Harbor Yacht Club. It was evident these two were crazy about each other when we heard their story. They met on a cruise ship while still in high school and succeeded at a six year long-distance relationship through college and Kyle’s Navy career, ultimately coming together finally here in Jacksonville. It truly was an honor (haha, had to do it) being a part of their day.

Andy and I were excited to shoot Madalyn and Dustin’s wedding after our fun engagement session in Jacksonville Beach. They had a beautiful wedding at Palm Valley Gardens. The setting was perfect for an intimate wedding. The reception flowed from the front courtyard, through the house, and the back patio which gave it an at-home feeling while still being elegant. The dressing rooms were beautiful as well and made for some great getting ready photos. Each room in the house is filled with fresh flowering plants, vibrant art, colorful antiques and exposed wood beams. We hope we get to shoot there again and thank Madalyn and Dustin for choosing us to document their day!

It is always fun to see how the couple incorporate photos from their engagement session into the wedding day details. Madalyn ordered large prints and had them framed for the favor table, gift table, and sitting area.

It’s official!

We can’t forget Gray, their adorable little boy!

The Bridal Party was a lot of fun and anything Madalyn or Dustin needed they were on top of.

Gotta love the details. Madalyn chose to give away vintage handkerchiefs labeled with their names, wedding date and bird sketch along with matchbooks and packets of lavender to each guest. The bird theme was carried over in the cake topper. The unique centerpieces of tree trunks for the base topped with vases filled with overflowing branches and rosebuds fit perfectly with the rustic yet elegant feel to the venue.

The couple danced to “Make You Feel My Love”. Guests danced to the jazz band and ate delicious food (and I mean de-li-cious) from The Perfect Pear.

Madalyn changed into a beautiful Grecian inspired gown and a chiffon headband adorned with sparkly rhinestones. She threw the bouquet from the balcony which made for some fun photos.

It’s finally here!  We’ve been looking forward to launching this site for awhile and getting away from the Flash site and  Blogger blog we were using before.  This will be our all-in-0ne BlogSite, and we’re loving it so far.  As far as blog posts go, we will probably not really re-post any of the old blog posts, so if you’d like to check out our older posts, you’ll want to go check them out at http://hayesphoto.blogspot.com

We’re enjoying our move to Florida and love it down here, but we don’t want you to think that we’re only photographing weddings in Florida!  We’re looking forward to shooting Bonnie’s wedding in Virginia in June, and are always open to travel anywhere.  Just contact us for our availability and rates.  Even with travel expenses, we are often still very competitive.

Here’s a few new features you’ll want to check out on our new site:

• Of course, the main blog page.  We’ll keep you up to date with everything we’re doing, special offers, recent shoots, and everything else.  Check back often!
• The Galleries.  We currently have samples of our Engagements, Weddings and Portraits, and we will probably add some of our travel, commercial and fine-art shots in the future.
• The Wedding Forums.  We’re really excited to be offering a new community for our readers.  This is the place to share anything from your engagement story, pictures of your huge rock
  or your wedding experiences and what you loved or would have done differently.  Also, if you have any questions, feel free to ask here.    We’ll be happy to give advice from our point of view, and many of our readers would be happy to help you out too.  We know that there are already tons of wedding forums out there, but this is a place for our friends and readers to connect.
• The subscribe button.  We know it can be a pain to have to come back and check to see if there are any new posts (especially when we don’t post as regularly as we should… oops.)  That’s why we offer the subscribe button.  Either get an email when we post, or sign up with google reader or your favorite rss reader and get our new posts fresh off the press!
