Honour and Kyle couldn’t have had a more beautiful day for their wedding at the Queen’s Harbor Yacht Club. It was evident these two were crazy about each other when we heard their story. They met on a cruise ship while still in high school and succeeded at a six year long-distance relationship through college and Kyle’s Navy career, ultimately coming together finally here in Jacksonville. It truly was an honor (haha, had to do it) being a part of their day.

Mina, Zeba, and Wade wanted to do something special for their Dad. They wanted to give him a gift that would last so they came to us for a fun portrait session in Atlantic Beach. We started out at the Town Center for some more urban type shots and then walked over to the beach for some casual shots. We had a great time getting to know these three fun siblings!

While we were visiting family back in Missouri last week we had the opportunity to do a portrait session with little Emily Ann. We love to shoot kids just being kids. We like to see their personalities come out and then capture images that reflect  them. Emily has loads of energy and plenty of personality. She was a total ham which we love! I also got to do all of the styling for this one and I had a lot of fun choosing her clothes, accessories, hair styles, and the locations. She was a great sport and did an awesome  job so thanks Emily!

We were out of town visiting family when I got an email from the coordinator at Palm Valley Gardens in Ponte Vedra.  She shared the exciting news that they were being featured in the business section of the Times Union.  Imagine my surprise when I discovered that they wanted to use one of our photos from Madalyn and Dustin’s wedding in the story!  The story and photo appeared on the front page of the business section on July 31st. We are honored Palm Valley chose one of our photos to showcase their beautiful venue. The article is pretty cool also and describes their start as a nursery and how it evolved into something they didn’t expect but are super excited about. What is a one year old to do without any photos to show herself off? She (with the help of Mom and Dad) calls in the pros. We had a great time shooting baby Alex and her parents (our good friends Pam and Jesse) at their home this past weekend. With bubbles, balls, and corn box we kept her busy! We got a couple shots of their dog Reggie too. Check them out!

Bailey and Dublin (our Irish Beagles) have been enjoying their “new” backyard. Previously our yard was only partially fenced and we had to have the dogs out on a tie out. Bailey, who is a little Diva, only likes do do her business in certain spots which are unreachable by her tie out. We decided to finish the fence so a couple of weekends later . . . voila! A fully fenced in yard. Now the dogs can run around freely and we can sit out back with a glass of wine and watch them play. They were loving it so much I thought it was time to practice my pet photography so I snapped a few photos of them. If any of you out there would like some photos of your lovable pets, let us know!

Jordan and Becky are good friends of ours from College and they also became some of our first clients. We love them to death so needless to say we were thrilled when Becky’s twin Sister Bonnie (whom we also knew from college) contacted us about shooting her destination wedding in Lexington, Virginia. Bonnie and her man Bobby are both pilots for the Navy so it was only fitting that they wed at Bobby’s Alma Mater: the Virginia Military Institute. Lexington is in the Blue Ridge mountains and near the scenic Blue Ridge parkway so we had great scenery to work with. We had a blast getting to know Bobby and his friends and family and we also enjoyed seeing Becky and Bonnie’s family again. We were not only able to shoot the wedding, reception and rehearsal but were guests at the rehearsal dinner and Bridal brunch as well so thanks guys!
