Here is a little teaser of a family portrait session we shot at the fort in St. Augustine over the weekend. There will be lots of goodies to feast your eyes on next week in the full preview (think vintage props and lollipops!)

For Grant’s 8 year photos, we headed up to Amelia Island for a beach shoot. For little boy portraits, I like to direct them to pose like little men. In other words, they don’t have to be super smiley. I also like to let them start to play so their personality comes out. Sometimes it works well to have them make a mad “model” face, then they can only hold it so long without bursting out laughing. I love the brooding ones.

This is part 1 of the Morgan family photo shoot. Jeremy and Claire wanted an easy going family session at the beach as well as a session with just the kids both at home and at the park. We had a great time shooting them and their little ones, Hailey and Preston over 2 days in Neptune beach.

While we were visiting family back in Missouri last week we had the opportunity to do a portrait session with little Emily Ann. We love to shoot kids just being kids. We like to see their personalities come out and then capture images that reflect  them. Emily has loads of energy and plenty of personality. She was a total ham which we love! I also got to do all of the styling for this one and I had a lot of fun choosing her clothes, accessories, hair styles, and the locations. She was a great sport and did an awesome  job so thanks Emily!
