Heather and Josh had a beautiful wedding at the River House in St. Augustine. I started off the day with the girls at the Westcott House Bed and Breakfast while Andy hung out with the guys in the limo, beach, and pub. Their vibrant colors of royal blue and yellow went perfectly with the sunny spring day. Heather chose a beautiful Modern Trousseau gown from White Magnolia and a pair of blue Manolo Blahniks (a gift from her Aunt who shares her love of shoes.) After the reveal, we headed to the fort for some bridal party photos. The ceremony took place on the back lawn of the River House overlooking the water and provided a beautiful view of the St. Augustine Lighthouse. Lastly, the boys of D’Land Entertainment kept the party going with their fun antics. It was a great day!

You may remember Kyndra and Derek from their movie themed engagement session here. They had a beautiful winter wedding at the always gorgeous Palm Valley Gardens in Ponte Vedra. Kyndra’s pretty A-Line dress was from the Avenues Bridal Shop and the yummy food was catered by Matthews. Lastly, the cake was crazy delicious and tasted as good as it looked (love all the crystal embellishments!) Check out their preview below.

Monica and Gene planned a destination wedding at the beautiful Amelia Island Plantation from their home state of Pennsylvania. Monica shined in her unique Watters gown and her bright flowers added that pop of color. The pretty purple orchids and fuchsia ranunculus accented the tables for a touch of elegance. Monica’s bouquet was the most fragrant bouquet I’ve experienced, I could smell it all during the portraits! The ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour (one of my favorite things to photograph as everyone is happy and the couple can finally greet their guests) and a fun reception.  Gene, an avid sports fan, insisted on having the big game on TV during the reception so he and his buddies didn’t have to miss it.  Between shouts of victory over the game and the boogieing (this actually registered on spell check as the correct spelling haha) on the dance floor, these two made the most of their big day. We wish them the best!

We met Kayla and Jon at their engagement session and we knew their wedding was going to be super fun and laid back. The pair were wed at Kayla’s Grandmother’s home in Switzerland, FL. The day was full of fun vintage details. They pulled the old Ford Model T out of the garage for photos and decorated an old bike. The sign on the bike red “Getting Hitched” on one side and was flipped over after the ceremony to read “Just Married.” A bagpiper lead the guests from the house down the path to the ceremony site under two large shade trees. Their dog Precious carried the rings on her neck and sniffed her way down the aisle to the amusement of the guests. There were so many pretty spots on the grounds from the classic white fence, old barn, Spanish moss trees with wrap around benches, smoke house, wooden swing, pond with dock and open pasture that we could have shot the Bride and Groom there all day! After the portraits were over the couple decided to jump in the pool for yet another round of fun photos. They even had a signature cocktail: the “Reinicke Rumance” (their last name.) They were such a fun couple and were always making sure we were hydrated and taken care of. What more could we ask for? Oh and they are so beautiful, their kids will be heart breakers. I hope you enjoy the images from their day complete with a pinch of southern charm and a dash of magical Florida sunset.

We were looking forward to Brett and Kim’s wedding after having so much fun with them during their engagement session. The day did not disappoint with their fun  personalities, all of the pretty details (down to the green toenails ;o) and a beautiful venue. Kim and Brett have a natural ease in their interactions with each other. Every time they would go to kiss each other, they would make the “mmmm” sound as they leaned in . . . so adorable! Congratulations guys!

You may remember Ben and Jennifer’s engagement session back in March (if not it can be found here) which was also shot at the plantation. It was nice to photograph them around the grounds that we knew we wouldn’t have time for the day of the wedding. Nevertheless, we always have a great time shooting at the Amelia Island Plantation. Their ceremony took place on the terrace overlooking the sand dunes and beyond to the ocean. Jennifer wore a beautiful Maggie Sottero gown (I’m partial to flowing chiffon skirts myself). The reception followed inside the Inn. These two are so sweet together and we wish them the best as they begin their journey as husband and wife!
