We shot baby Alex last year for her one year photos (you can see them here) so we were honored when her parents (Pam and Jesse Dent) wanted us to shoot her again for her two year photos.  That means we are doing our job! Of course to us, it is more than just a job and we always enjoy spending time with the Dent family. Pam had the great idea of shooting at the courtyard area at the Atlantic Beach Town Center followed by some fun in the sand. We brought some silly props like sand castle building supplies, a hula hoop, and some balloons to add that pop of color. I asked Pam if Alex had a tutu and she said that she not only had one but she had made it herself! So sit back and enjoy our little ballerina.

The Morjon family recently moved to Jacksonville from the windy city and wanted some urban shots that still reflected their new town. What Floridian doesn’t want to show off the warm climate on their family Christmas card? I know I sure did.  We had fun shooting them downtown near the Florida theater as well as at the Landing area. There are so many great places to shoot downtown and in the historic areas for those “urban” type photos so for those of you that think you are limited to the beach think again! Or you can always get the best of both worlds and do a double session! These type of locations also make for great bride and groom, trash the dress/bridals,  or wedding party shots. Mina, Zeba, and Wade wanted to do something special for their Dad. They wanted to give him a gift that would last so they came to us for a fun portrait session in Atlantic Beach. We started out at the Town Center for some more urban type shots and then walked over to the beach for some casual shots. We had a great time getting to know these three fun siblings!

While we were visiting family back in Missouri last week we had the opportunity to do a portrait session with little Emily Ann. We love to shoot kids just being kids. We like to see their personalities come out and then capture images that reflect  them. Emily has loads of energy and plenty of personality. She was a total ham which we love! I also got to do all of the styling for this one and I had a lot of fun choosing her clothes, accessories, hair styles, and the locations. She was a great sport and did an awesome  job so thanks Emily!

What is a one year old to do without any photos to show herself off? She (with the help of Mom and Dad) calls in the pros. We had a great time shooting baby Alex and her parents (our good friends Pam and Jesse) at their home this past weekend. With bubbles, balls, and corn box we kept her busy! We got a couple shots of their dog Reggie too. Check them out!

Andy and I were excited to shoot Madalyn and Dustin’s wedding after our fun engagement session in Jacksonville Beach. They had a beautiful wedding at Palm Valley Gardens. The setting was perfect for an intimate wedding. The reception flowed from the front courtyard, through the house, and the back patio which gave it an at-home feeling while still being elegant. The dressing rooms were beautiful as well and made for some great getting ready photos. Each room in the house is filled with fresh flowering plants, vibrant art, colorful antiques and exposed wood beams. We hope we get to shoot there again and thank Madalyn and Dustin for choosing us to document their day!

It is always fun to see how the couple incorporate photos from their engagement session into the wedding day details. Madalyn ordered large prints and had them framed for the favor table, gift table, and sitting area.

It’s official!

We can’t forget Gray, their adorable little boy!

The Bridal Party was a lot of fun and anything Madalyn or Dustin needed they were on top of.

Gotta love the details. Madalyn chose to give away vintage handkerchiefs labeled with their names, wedding date and bird sketch along with matchbooks and packets of lavender to each guest. The bird theme was carried over in the cake topper. The unique centerpieces of tree trunks for the base topped with vases filled with overflowing branches and rosebuds fit perfectly with the rustic yet elegant feel to the venue.

The couple danced to “Make You Feel My Love”. Guests danced to the jazz band and ate delicious food (and I mean de-li-cious) from The Perfect Pear.

Madalyn changed into a beautiful Grecian inspired gown and a chiffon headband adorned with sparkly rhinestones. She threw the bouquet from the balcony which made for some fun photos.
