Danielle and Josh are both in the military and are stationed in Italy. Due to their tight schedule, we needed to do their engagement session just two days before the wedding. Kim and Brett were in town visiting their venue, the Amelia Island Plantation, when we met up with them in downtown Fernandina Beach. We had a chat at the local coffee shop and then had a great time exploring the downtown area. We found a cool fire escape, stair well, made a pit-stop at the ice cream parlor, the marina, a wine shop, and finally the beach pier.  I love some of the romantic images we captured so we hope you do too. Ben and Jen were in town for a planning session with their venue, the Amelia Island Plantation. They made the most of their trip by using that time to also get in a super fun photo session. We didn’t have to go far as the plantation affords numerous photo spots. We explored the beach, trail, inn, shops and spa area, as well as the pool. There are so many more spots there we couldn’t possibly fit them all in! These two were so natural in front of the camera, no warm up time needed. We are excited to get to shoot their wedding this June.

Sharon and Sarmad live in New York City, so to help with the wedding planning, Sharon enlisted the help of her family who live here in Jacksonville. We had a consultation with her parents and Sister, and the next day I got a call from Sharon saying her family loved us so much she decided to book us right away!  Since then it has been nothing but smooth sailing with these two. We finally got to meet them in person this past Saturday when we shot their engagement session.  I’m so glad they were able to make time for it while they were in town visiting family for Christmas. We decided to make the trip worth their while and we had a blast shooting them down in St. Augustine on St. George Street, the Lightner Museum/City Hall, and at the Casa Monica Hotel pool. We can’t wait to get to see them again when we shoot their wedding this spring at St. Paul’s Catholic Church and Palm Valley Gardens. Thanks for being so easy going on our photo adventure Sharon and Sarmad!

Though the air show threatened to postpone our shoot the crowds finally departed and we hit the “magic hour” just before sunset and were able to take some fun images in Jacksonville Beach. Allie also wanted a beach house feel to the shoot so the Fig Tree Inn graciously let us come and shoot on their adorable front porch. Allie and David were so cute together and were super excited for their spring wedding at Palm Valley Gardens. These two were willing to try anything so thanks guys!

We are excited to be shooting Madalyn and Dustin’s upcoming wedding in Ponte Vedra. Madalyn is a photography lover herself and we were able to put our heads together and come up with some fun ideas for their engagement shoot. We both love classic, girly, and retro (think Anthropologie and J.Crew) so we thought it would be fun to do a modern shoot with a 1950s twist and a beachy feel. The weather didn’t cooperate for the beach part of the shoot so we were only able to steal a few photos and then escape before the wind swept us away. We then returned to the beach cottage owned by Madalyn’s Mother for the remainder of the shoot. It was great to get to know these two even more in preparation for their big day. With Madalyn’s great taste and sense of style I’m sure it will be amazing.
